Our Adoption Process
To help match you with your perfect cat and to ensure that our animals find the best homes, we have an application process for all adoptions. Please allow several days for our Adoption Coordinators to process your application.
1. Apply to adopt
Start by completing our online application for adoption. Applications can be submitted for a general application or for a specific pet.
Requirements:
-You must be at least 18 years of age
-Able to show government-issued photo identification
-Complete a preliminary questionnaire and speak with an Adoption Coordinatoror
2. Check your inbox
Our adoption coordinators will reach out via email/text message to begin processing your application. This may include a phone interview, photos of your home, and supplemental paperwork such as a letter of permission from your landlord. Please double check your email is spelled correctly and make sure to check your spam folder.
It can take up to two weeks to hear back about an application but please feel free to follow up if you haven't heard back after a week. Adoption approval is based on the best match for the animals, and not first-come-first-served.
